The Product A typical industrial microwave dryer consists of a high Power Microwave Source with built-in control circuits, and one or more applicators properly integrated with the fluid bed dryer, as one composite unit-to engender optimal drying efficiency. The applicator is the unit where the interaction of the microwave energy with the material to be processed takes place. Customized for every industrial process, the power source comprises a high power magnetron and a circulator. Technology The high frequency dielectric heating is based on the principle of conversion of electrical energy to heat energy. With microwaves, no heat is applied per se. Instead, a form of radio waves passes through the material. On directing the controlled high frequency waves, instant heat is generated by molecular friction, this heat is optimally utilized for achieving significant results in drying, heating, curing, vulcanizing, thawing sterilizing, tempering, evaporating and bonding applications. The systematic control mechanism, specially designed and developed, ensures precise direction and conversion of electric energy into heat energy. For a substance to be microwaveable, it must process an asymmetric molecular structure, as in the case of a water molecule. The molecules of such substance from electric dipoles which, when exposed to an electric field, assume an orientation relative to the direction of the field. It is this orientation polarization that is responsible for energy generation The Suitability The industrial microwave dryer is ideal for precise drying of moisture in a variety of industries (Processed food / Tea / Spices / Natural products like rubber, plastics, Paper, chemicals, pharmaceuticals etc) . When coupled with a conventional dryer that does the initial drying, the microwave dryer gives a rapid method for removing the residential moisture trapped inside the materiel and it is very cost effective. In many applications, it also enhances the value of the product by preserving the aroma, flavor etc. Studies have revealed overwhelming evidence proving beyond doubt the superiority of specialized microwave drying over conventional drying.
